This is in CS6 of Adobe Audition, though I'd hazard a guess it'd be the same in CC or CS5.5 as well.įor me, the UAD software also behaved differently during mixing/playback with VST vs AU with VST plugs, the usage meter remained at 0% until I hit play, then it jumped to the amount of plugin power being used, wheras with AU plugins the usage meter hovered at its usage amount constantly, then would overload when I tried to Mixdown (eg bounce / render) the session or a track. I haven't extensively experimented with this, but in my initial test this fixed the issue: I simply used VST (not VST3, though those may work also) versions of the plugins rather than AU (you'll have to copy and paste or save and reload your settings). Try using VST versions of UAD plugs and not the AU plugins. PLEASE HELP SOLVE THIS AS WE USE AUDITION WITH PREMIERE FOR AUDIO EDITING AND I ACTUALLY REALLY LIKE IT OVER PROTOOLS.

It is failing to free the DSP even when the tracks have been bounced in place (frozen) and even when the plugs have been 'powered down'. Audition is not following the AU standard or the 'power off' process that UA is expecting. I free up 30% dsp and somehow successfully bounce the main busses and master track to another track (it failed on bouncing to an external file) I then remove all the plugins from the bounced audio tracks (stupid right). I then try bouncing the main vocal buss, failed. I then individually bounce these tracks to additional tracks, mute and turn off all the plugs from the bounce. I try freezing the tracks that I can (one's that didn't have sidechaining). Odd as it is playing back just fine with reasonable DSP usage. I export and it fails, giving the error (as above) 'One or more plugins where disabled.'. It plays and edits just fine with 60% DSP usage. I have lots of UAD plugs on all the tracks. Here is the problem and how I determined what was wrong: I honestly think it is a problem with Audition but I'd love it if UA (how about it Gannon?!) could lobby Adobe on our behalf.

Thanks guys, hope this never happens to anyone else because it's no fun.I want to revive this because I lived this nightmare today trying to export audio for a commercial that was due out today at 5pm. I'll report back if uninstalling works or not. I'm going to uninstall and reinstall premiere to see if this fixes my issue, I hope I don't lose all my custom shortcuts. Tried all known fixes, clear cache, render clip/audio, unlinked clip, and audio, generated peak files, etc TDLR: Audio waveforms are solid and match the brightness of video clips on the timeline. I'm making this post because I haven't seen anyone with this particular problem yet and I have tried every fix listed here on the support forums. I wasn't messing with audio settings when this problem arose, I just pulling clips into my timeline. This must be a setting somewhere because it happens across all my projects, even completely new ones, and just started out of nowhere. The solid bright color on the timelines clip indicates the corruption, unlike the usual darker color that is shown if there is no waveform data at all. In the attached files, you'll see my issue isn't like most where no waveform is shown, it's as if the peak file is generating maxed audio input continuously.
